Strong Schools. Engaged Families. One Community.

Meet Jaqueline Gonzalez

As a parent, educator, and longtime advocate in our CVESD community, I believe strong schools begin with listening to families, supporting educators, and making sure every child has the opportunity to thrive.

My connection to CVESD began as a parent, volunteering in my daughters’ classrooms and becoming involved in parent leadership. Over the years, I served as DAC/DELAC Chairperson, advocating for families and helping ensure the voices of parents, especially English Learner families, were heard. Those experiences shaped my belief that strong schools are built through collaboration, transparency, and meaningful partnerships with families.

My Priorities for CVESD

Meaningful Parent Engagement

Creating meaningful opportunities for families to be heard, informed, and involved in the decisions that shape their children’s education.

Transparency and Accessible Budgets

Making district budget information clear and accessible so families understand how resources are being used to support students and schools.

Safe Schools

Supporting safe, welcoming school environments where students can learn, educators can teach, and families feel confident sending their children each day.

Strong Academics

Supporting high-quality teaching and strong academic programs that give every student the foundation and opportunities they need to succeed.

English Learners and Special Education

Ensuring English Learners and students receiving special education services have access to the support, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.
